Canadian Solar’s Ku series half-cut modules work as two separate panels, thus each half of the module creates half the output voltage. This leads to much smaller losses and at the same time to a lower operating temperature, which further increases their efficiency. Additionally, if one half of one module falls into the shadows, then the other continues to produce electricity, unlike conventional panels. Moreover, each cell of the Hiku7 CS7L-MS-R-595W is also divided into two halves, achieving only 1/4 of the standard performance losses compared to other panels.
This design allows the panels to be installed on the ground, and instead of 9 meters of space from row to row, only 7.5 meters can be left, and this allows us to place even more rows on the same area of land without producing less electricity.
